Just want to show you the Chip Detector of a Helicopter this one is the Chip Detector of
Tail Rotor Gearbox, After flight we conduct a post flight inspection, and our Captain told us that he encounters tail chip illuminated during flight but intermitent. After that we inspect the chips we found out metal fillings in the chip detector.
Metal fillings are normal but have a size limitations, it also have a warning lights at the cockpit to notify the pilot that the certain component need to be inspected....
